We ♥ mojito

Because life is not just about business. Because life is much more than that.

Let’s for one moment leave aside our family lives, our work, our leisure time and everything else, then there is only one thing left on earth.
We believe that once humans will have disappeared in a few million years from the face of the earth, there will only be one thing left on our planet: the Mojito.

So to prepare for this, we suggest you practice.

Ingredients for 2 people :

  • 4 cl of white Cuban rum
  • 2 cl cane sugar syrup
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 1 half lime
  • 1 sparkling water
  • 10 ice cubes
  • 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Preparation
1 – Put your ice cubes in a tea towel, wrap them up inside it, using a rolling pin, crush the ice. You may still have some chunks. Pour into a bowl and set aside in the freezer.

2 – Place the mint leaves into each glass. Do not tear the mint leaves as the essential oils are on the surface. This will also avoid having small pieces of mint clogging up the straw. Just place them at the bottom of the glass.

3 – Cut the lemon in half and then cut each lemon half into 6 pieces. Add them to each glass.

4 – Add the cane sugar syrup. Using a liquid sugar means you won’t feel the sugar crystals when you taste the cocktail.

5 – Crush the lemon with a cocktail masher. It is important that the mint is at the bottom of the glass so that it is covered by both the cane sugar syrup and the lemon pieces.

6 – Add the crushed ice, leaving 2 cm free. The more ice there is, the less quickly it will melt.

7 – Add the rum and Angostura Bitters

8 – Top up with sparkling water.

9 – Stir the cocktail so that the flavours blend in together.

10 – Serve and enjoy. The mojito is served with two straws that will allow you to mix the cocktail as you drink.
